SEPTEMBER 12 IN 2022; Join us on an 11 day Travel Sketching holiday with Stephanie Bower in the sketching paradise of Croatia. DUBROVNIK, SPLIT, ZADAR, ZAGREB and with TWO DAILY sketching lessons, immerse yourself learning how to depict the ancient, historic architecture and sights of this “Pearl of the Adriatic”.
This beautiful tour has been designed especially for Travel Sketchers who love history, beauty, variety and something out of the ordinary to take your breath away.
Stephanie sketched Croatia in depth in 2019 and her dream afterwards was to run an intensive sketch holiday there as soon as possible!
This is an opportunity of a lifetime to learn from a master of design, drawing and watercolor in one of the most inspirational places in the world to sketch.

ABOUT STEPHANIE:
A popular teacher with a background as an architect, she has taught drawing and painting for over 25 years — in NYC at Parsons for a decade, as well as in Seattle at the University of Washington and Cornish College of the Arts.
She has taught at six Urban Sketchers symposiums and conducts workshops and demos around the world, from Italy to Taiwan to Mumbai.

- You’ll also learn watercolor, using an architect’s approach to depicting spaces and painting in layers.
- After this workshop, you will no longer fear or fake perspective, you’ll be able to sketch everywhere!
Each day we have a sketch demo and sketching workshop with Stephanie as well as an orientation walking tour and then more sketching in the afternoon with some free time to do what you like in each wonderful town we visit.
DO I NEED TO BE A TALENTED ARTIST?
Absolutely not. You will be there for the pure love of learning and sharing with a group of like-minded people and we all learn and create at our own pace. You can be a pure beginner and feel just as pleased with your output and learning as everyone else. Lovely, caring Pat will be there to teach, inspire and encourage you each day no matter what your skill and experience level. Our equipment is portable, watercolor based with some mixed media and designed to be quick, simple travel journal-style sketching to enhance your holiday

The tour begins at 5 pm in our hotel in DUBROVNIK and ends on September 22 in 2021 after breakfast in our hotel in ZAGREB.
All breakfasts, 4 dinners and 4 lunches are included plus all travel whilst on tour, accommodation, entries, your tour manager and Stephanie’s daily tuition.

All accommodation is of a good 3 or 4 star standard with bathrooms for each room.
Please note: the accommodation will vary and each room may be different.
We will travel by ferry and our own private coach to our next destination and the distances are quite short.
ACTIVITY LEVEL: We will be walking everywhere to sketch. Please ensure that you are fit and able to walk up to 2 kms easily (uphill sometimes) and climb stairs without problem
Our tours are all fully-escorted and designed for affordability, fun and safety in comfortable, relaxing conditions.
Kate is your historian and tour manager who has taken many tours to different cities and loves the region and its history and beauty. She will entertain you with fun facts and tales each day.
Non-sketchers are most welcome on this tour too if they are sharing with a Sketcher. (Please note if two people share a room with twin beds there is a small supplement as many hotels charge for a larger room to accommodate two beds.)
